Kailey Sullivan, B.S. (she/her), is a Clinical Psychology doctoral student at Northern Arizona University, entering her third year in the program and beginning her second-year clinical practicum at SOGIA/EBT Center of Arizona. Kailey earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Arizona in 2021, graduating Cum Laude and making the Dean’s List. During her undergraduate studies, she focused on psychological research, primarily exploring topics including empathy in relationships and the dynamics that contribute to healthy therapeutic alliances. Experiencing the process of how theories in research become evidence-based techniques to apply in clinical settings inspired Kailey to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology. She is passionate about providing empirically based therapy to a diverse range of clients by utilizing a multimodal approach to fit each individual’s unique needs. Her specific interests include trauma, mood disorders, health psychology, and sports and performance psychology.
Throughout her graduate studies, Kailey has provided clinical work to a wide-range of clientele (e.g. across the lifespan, neurodivergent individuals, mood disorders, and trauma disorders). She is actively involved in the American Psychological Association and the Arizona Psychological Association, with student affiliations across many different APA divisions.
Outside of her academic pursuits, Kailey is involved with several non-profit organizations and was recently recognized as Champion of the Year for Best Buddies Arizona, where she supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, Kailey serves on the board of the LaloBoy Foundation, promoting suicide prevention and equal access to mental health resources in minority communities. She also spends time advocating for LGBTQ+ rights and actively volunteers with GLSEN.
In her free time, Kailey enjoys spending time outdoors, engaging in water sports, skiing, and golfing. She also loves attending live music events, cooking, and relaxing with her friends and family.
